Actually this is not about Islam or the ‘brutalities of Pakistan’ (I hate Islam and Pak, but still).
It is pretty apparent that this is human stupidity. I think the intention was to just scare the guy or that man fired in irritation.
If he had wanted to kill, he could have fired in the guy’s head or torso. It is also apparent that they didn’t expect anyone to shoot. Look at the other guys running as soon as they heard the shot. They were taken by surprise.
